The reason for this is simple. We always think that we are ready. Sometimes this might be true; but often, a big reason why we aren’t able to get things (in career, in relationships or in spirituality) is for the simple reason that we’re not ready for them – not ready to sacrifice long hours for money, not ready to settle down yet, not ready for the commitment that must inevitably follow.
But, perhaps you would like to be ready? Just like preparing for a marathon requires a level of fitness, preparing for a life with God requires some things too.
